Even though we live four hours apart, I'm lucky enough to be spending today with my amazing mom. She truly is special. She's inspiring, encouraging and my biggest fan. She's the one that helped me make the decision to give up my “day job” and chase after my dream. She's helped behind the scenes as I've grown my business and I'm so lucky to have her in my corner.

My mom is the reason why I love cooking so much. She's an amazing cook, loves to be creative and try new things in the kitchen, and her food always tastes incredible. While she won't be in the kitchen much today – that's for me and my brother to handle – being home and able to eat her food is one of the best things in the world.

Breakfast is a big deal in our house, especially on the weekends, so today we're showering Mom with a big spread for brunch.
