Fig & Goat Cheese Crostini with Balsamic Drizzle

This crostini is stunning. The goat cheese and pesto, lightly spread on a grilled slice of gluten-free bread is the perfect base to the sweet figs. And topped with a drizzle of balsamic syrup and you'll be sent to heaven.

  • 2 slices gluten-free bread grilled
  • 6 - 8 figs halved
  • 4 oz goat cheese
  • 1 cup basil
  • 2 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 - 3 tablespoon nutritional yeast or parmesan
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons honey


  1. Add goat cheese, basil, nutritional, salt, pepper and oil to a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. In a small sauce pan, add the balsamic vinegar and honey, and whisk together until the honey has dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil and turn down to simmer until the liquid has reduced by half, about 2 - 3 minutes.
  3. Assemble the crostinis by spreading the goat cheese mixture on each slice of bread. Top with sliced figs and drizzle with warm balsamic syrup.
  4. Enjoy!
