Am I a little obsessed with cottage cheese? If you judge me by these Cottage Cheese Brownies and Cottage Cheese Pancakes, I just might be. But I know I’m not alone in this! It’s such an easy way to work some extra protein into my meals and in the case of these cottage cheese wraps, it also helps trim the carbs. These easy wraps swap the flour for cottage cheese and eggs, creating a soft, pliable, savory wrap for rolling veggies, spreads, lunchmeat, and more.

Why You Need to Give These Low Carb Wraps a Try

You are going to be surprised by how delicious and versatile these cottage cheese wraps are! Here’s what makes this recipe a standout.

  • High protein and high satisfaction. Cottage cheese and eggs bake up into wraps that are much more filling than ones made with flour.
  • Simple ingredients. You only need eggs, cottage cheese, salt, and pepper to make these. If you’ve looked at the ingredient list on low carb wraps at the grocery store, you’ll appreciate the simplicity of this version!
  • Versatile. These wraps have a flavor that works with a variety of fillings; you can even leave out the pepper and use them like crepes for sweet fillings!

  • Cottage cheese – You can use full-fat or low-fat, depending on your nutritional goals.
  • Eggs – These give the wraps their flexibility so they can be rolled up.
  • Seasonings – Salt and black pepper are essential, while onion and garlic powder are optional for more savory flavor.

How to Make Cottage Cheese Wraps

The process is easy! Here’s what you’ll need to do.

  • Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Blend the batter. Blend the cottage cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and the optional seasonings until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into a thin, even layer.
  • Bake. Bake the cottage cheese wraps for 25 to 30 minutes until golden and set.
  • Cool and slice. Let the wrap cool completely, then cut in half and fill as desired.

Tips and Variation Ideas

Here are a few more notes on this cottage cheese wrap recipe.

  • Take the time to spread the batter in an even layer. This is super important! If it’s uneven, you’ll end up with thinner parts that are crispy and thicker parts that are under-baked.
  • Don’t over-bake. You’ll end up with crackers instead of wraps!
  • Customize the flavor. You can add dried or fresh herbs, Italian seasoning, or other spices to infuse your wraps with flavor. (I plan on trying these with everything bagel seasoning some day!)

My Favorite Ways to Use Cottage Cheese Wraps

Fill these wraps with grilled chicken, lunchmeat, veggies, or anything else you like! For breakfast, they’re awesome with scrambled eggs and bacon for a low-carb breakfast wrap. You can make them into pinwheels too by layering on hummus and baby spinach and slicing into rounds.
