This refreshing Peach Salsa recipe is a sweet, savory, and spicy homemade condiment you’ll love with burgers, fish, chips, and more. Make it with fresh or grilled peaches!

I used to hate the flavor and texture of salsa, especially if it contained cilantro. But since I've grown up, I've come to love it! And though I usually make my old-standby Pico de Gallo, when peaches are in season, I can't resist using them in this fresh peach salsa recipe.
Why Your Summer Isn’t Complete Without Peach Salsa
Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a LITTLE bit, but you should seriously add this peach salsa to your summer bucket list. (And maybe Fresh Peach Mojitos while you’re at it.) Here’s what makes it so good.
- The perfect balance of flavors. Some fruit salsas lean way too sweet for me, but this one has just the right balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. (This Spicy Mango Salsa is similar!)
- Seasonal ingredients. The best thing about summer is all the fresh, in-season produce. Peaches are at their juicy, sweet peak during the summer months and this salsa lets them shine.
- Easy to make. Just chop up some peaches, tomatoes, red onion, jalapeños, cilantro, and add a squeeze of lime juice and you’re good to go.
- Two tasty options. You can make this peach salsa with fresh peaches or you can pop them on the grill for a smoky flavor. Either way, it’s delicious!

What You’ll Need
Here's what I put into this sweet and spicy peach salsa. Scroll down to the recipe card to find the ingredient quantities and recipe instructions.
- Peaches – You can peel them or leave the skin on.
- Red onion – If you don't like the sharp flavor of red onion, soak the diced onion in ice water for about 10 minutes to remove some of the bite.
- Tomato – This is a must for me in the summer. It's naturally juicy and sweet, and it adds some acidity that keeps the salsa from being cloying.
- Jalapeño – Remove the ribs and seeds to cut the spice level in your salsa.
- Cilantro – If you're like I used to be and can't stand the stuff, you can swap it out for parsley, mint, or basil.
- Lime juice – Another element to add some acidity, bringing balance and making your peach salsa pop.
How to Make Peach Salsa
Making peach salsa at home is quick, easy, and much better than the kind you buy in jars at the grocery store.

- Prepare. Wash and dice all the ingredients and juice the lime.
- Combine. Add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl.
- Toss to coat. Do it gently! Don’t smash the peaches.
- Serve. You can let the salsa sit for 10 minutes or so to let the flavors meld or just serve it right away.
Tips and Variations
Here are some tips for making this peach salsa recipe, along with a few variations.
- Try grilling the peaches. They get even sweeter, caramelized, and smoky—so, so good! You’ll find the directions for a grilling method in the notes in the recipe card.
- Cut everything small. This makes it easier to scoop onto chips! Plus, it gives you a little bit of everything in each bite.
- Adjust the spice level. Want more heat? Leave some seeds and membranes with your jalapeño or add another one. Like it mild? Skip the jalapeño altogether.
- Make it ahead of time. This salsa is perfect for making ahead and keeping in the fridge until ready to serve. It also gets better as it sits and allows the flavors to develop even more. Just give it a good stir before serving or, if there’s a lot of liquid at the bottom, drain it off.

What To Serve With Peach Salsa
You can serve this fruit salsa with crunchy tortilla chips for a simple appetizer or use it as a condiment for:
- Grilled or roasted salmon
- On tacos
- With Vegetarian Black Bean Quinoa Burgers
- As a topping on Mediterranean Quinoa Bowls with Hummus
How to Store Leftovers
Leftover peach salsa can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir it before serving to reincorporate everything. I don’t recommend freezing this recipe, as the textures and flavors won’t be as vibrant.
