It's no secret that I love smoothies. Whether you start your day with an invigorating green smoothie bowl or treat yourself to a pumpkin cheesecake smoothie for an afternoon snack, there are so many options that always seem to hit the spot. This strawberry mango smoothie recipe combines two of my favorite fruits (mango and strawberry) with protein-packed dairy-free yogurt and nut butter for a breakfast that will certainly keep you satisfied.

Enjoy this sweet-tangy vegan strawberry smoothie on the go, or turn it into a smoothie bowl topped with homemade granola and your favorite fixings. It takes minutes to blend and tastes totally tropical. Like a little vacation first thing in the morning!

Why Start Your Day With a Strawberry Mango Smoothie?

  • It's quick. Add everything to the blender and go.
  • Only 6 ingredients. Fresh or frozen fruit and simple mix-ins make a rich, silky vegan smoothie that's full of flavor and nutrients.
  • Hydrating. Coconut water helps thin out the consistency while making this smoothie extra refreshing.
  • Adaptable. Of course, you can change up this recipe any way you'd like with greens, seeds, nut butters, or different fruit.

What You'll Need

Here's what you need to make this creamy strawberry smoothie (see the recipe card for exact measurements):

  • Strawberries – You can use fresh or frozen, but frozen gives you a creamier texture.
  • Mango – Same here. Frozen mango is always ripe and in season, and adds thickness to your smoothie.
  • Cashew butter – You can use a different store-bought or homemade nut butter or coconut butter if you prefer, but I like mild cashew butter. For another layer of flavor, I'll sometimes add vanilla bean cashew butter to my smoothie.
  • Yogurt – I love plain coconut yogurt to keep this smoothie dairy-free. But regular or Greek yogurt also works.
  • Coconut water – This is super hydrating. Normal water or freshly squeezed fruit juice will work, too.
  • Almond milk – Feel free to use any dairy or non-dairy milk you prefer.

How to Make a Strawberry Mango Smoothie

I love to use my Vitamix to blend smoothies so they're totally smooth and creamy. Any high-speed blender will work. To make your smoothie:

  • Combine. Add all of the ingredients to your blender.
  • Blend until smooth. If you need to thin out your smoothie at all, add another splash of coconut water and blend again. Add more fruit if you need to thicken it.

Serving Suggestion: Make a Vegan Smoothie Bowl

If you'd like to turn this recipe into a thick and spoonable smoothie bowl, you certainly can. Use frozen fruit and start with less almond milk for a thicker texture. After blending, transfer the smoothie to a bowl and add your toppings:
