With all the stress of the virus going on, I want to start sharing some content that is designed to help you support your immune system. For me, supporting my immune system is something I try to do every single day, but in times of stress or sickness (like we're experiencing right now), there are some things I do to amp up!

Specifically, my fruits and veggies! And the easiest way to increase your fruits and veggies is to drink more smoothies.

So today we're going to talk about immune boosting smoothie recipes. Recipes that are full of vitamins, full of minerals, and will help support your overall health and wellness. One thing I do want to say first: I'm not a doctor or healthcare professional and I'm definitely not saying that smoothies will prevent you from catching anything. There are so many reasons why we love smoothies, but as it relates to your immune system, there are a few smoothie benefits that stick out.

  1. Easy way to pack in a ton of vitamins and minerals
  2. Gentle on digestion
  3. Full of antioxidants and vitamin-C
  4. Easy to make (which is great if you're feeling sick/tired)
  5. Easy to eat (which is great if you have a sore throat)

Tips for Making an Immune Boosting Smoothie Recipe

When you're making an immune boosting smoothie recipe, there are a few things to consider.

  • add a good blend of fruits and veggies
  • get a variety of vitamins
  • add greens when possible
  • look for fruits that are high in vitamin C (pineapple, orange, grapefruit)
  • add more antioxidants (usually from berries or green powders)

There are also supplements you can add to your smoothies that will help boost your immune system even more.
